What image represents Europe? Gathering over 100 works by more than 60 primarily modern and contemporary artists, Europe.
The Future of History will examine this question while also exploring Europe as a peace project through literary and political statements by well-known figures.
Including works by Honoré Daumier, Otto Dix, Paul Klee, Meret Oppenheim, Joseph Beuys, Martin Kippenberger, Andreas Gursky as well as other major modern and contemporary artists, the exhibition covers the 19th to the 21st centuries, spanning the period from the rise of nation states to the post-national interdependence of the present day.
